Copenhagen Contemporary Exhibitions Programme

Copenhagen Contemporary (CC) is a new arts centre established to create an exhibition space for large, technically demanding installations of international contemporary art in Copenhagen, Denmark. CC has been created as a pilot project and will hold changing exhibitions in four former paper halls on Papirøen (Paper Island) until 31 December 2017, when the island will close for redevelopment. From 2018, CC will continue its programme from another space in Copenhagen, maintaining its dedicated focus on large-scale contemporary art installations and planning towards a permanent space in the city.

CC’s exhibition programme for Spring/Summer 2017 includes a never-before-seen complete installation by the celebrated German artist Anselm Kiefer, a dynamic sculptural assemblage by New York-based artist Sarah Sze, and an important work by world-famous French artist Pierre Huyghe.
