1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair Announces Line- Up of Special Projects for the New York fair for 2017

April 13, 2017 (Brooklyn, NY)  – 1:54 ContemporaryAfricanArtFair, the leading international art fair dedicated to contemporary art from Africa and its diaspora, has announced a robust lineup of special projects for the 2017 edition of the New York fair, taking place at Pioneer Works from May 5 - 7, 2017, with a press and VIP preview on May 4. This year’s special projects program is the largest roster of non-for-profit programming for the New York fair since its inauguration in 2015, and will highlight an incredibly diverse mix of projects and partnerships that will complement the gallery presentations throughout the main fair.

“This year, we are thrilled to be working with an amazing mix of new and returning partners to create an exciting line-up of special projects” said Touria El Glaoui, Founding Director of 1:54 Contemporary African Art Fair. “Not only is this fair one of the most unique contemporary art fairs that exists today based on our amazing roster of participating galleries, but we also take great pride in the coinciding non-for-profit section of the fair.”
