Thessaloniki Biennale
For its third edition, Greece’s second largest city welcomed the Thessaloniki Biennale under the direction of Katerina Koskina. The 3rd Thessaloniki Biennale of Contemporary Art ran under the title ‘Old Intersections – Make It New’, it was focused on the Mediterranean region and included a main and a parallel programme of exhibitions in various venues in the city, a workshop for young artists, a performance festival having ORLAN, screenings, performances, guest events, and a meeting of the Mediterranean Cultural Parliament. The Thessaloniki Biennale aimed to encourage and attract new avant-garde ideas and present art works that offer new aesthetic proposals. The 3rd Thessaloniki Biennale main programme was curated by Paolo Colombo, Mahita El Bacha Urieta and Marina Fokidis, under the title “A Rock and a Hard place”.
Sutton PR advised on press and marketing strategy, handling all international media requests. We organised an international press trip to the Biennale for journalists from key art publications.
