Arsenale 2012

Arsenale 2012 will be Kiev’s first Biennale, presented under the artistic direction of David Elliott. The Kiev Biennale, 'The Best of Times, The Worst of Times. Rebirth and Apocalypse in Contemporary Art' will launch Kiev as a top international cultural destination, exhibiting over 100 local and international artists’ work, providing the opportunity to view Ukrainian art in a global context.

Opening at the newly renovated Mystetskyi Arsenal, a former artillery storage facility, the Biennale will consider how contemporary artists use the art and aesthetics of the past to express themes of the present and future.
